The Northeast MS Down Syndrome Society is a growing organization and relies heavily on volunteerism and community service organizations to operate. Not one person on the NEMDSS staff or board of directors gets paid; therefore all donations to NEMDSS go directly into the programs and activities based upon the needs of the families of those living with Down syndrome.
These programs and activities require volunteers as well; especially the annual Buddy Walk. For the Buddy Walk to be successful, NEMDSS depends on 100-150 volunteers to help facilitate it. NEMDSS has been fortunate to have local churches, schools, civic clubs, businesses, and individuals who volunteer their time to help each year. From cooking hotdogs and hamburgers to manning the bouncers and moon walks, these volunteers have been a blessing to the NEMDSS organization.
In addition to this event, NEMDSS occasionally has other events where they need volunteers to help. If you are interested in volunteering, please submit your information below and as the need arises, someone with NEMDSS will contact you with more information on how you can play a role in helping. You are guaranteed to receive a huge blessing for your community service work and role as a NEMDSS volunteer.
