Have you ever been to a "Buddy Walk"? If not, be sure to clear your calendars for Saturday, October 1st because you are in for a treat. This awareness and advocacy event is held in over 275 locations around the world each year to raise awareness of Down syndrome, which affects over 400,000 people worldwide. It is a day of fun, celebration and great entertainment. This year, NEMDSS is celebrating it's 5th year of doing a Buddy Walk which has drawn in excess of 1,000 people in year's past. This is the largest annual fundraiser for NEMDSS and this year's event will feature: Live Entertainment, Free Food, Inflatable Moon Walks and Bounce Houses, 5K Buddy Run, Huge Silent Auction, Character Visits, Face Painting, Train Rides, Resource Booths, and More!
